Yes. That does say Tuesday…and yes, this is indeed Friday. But that is just how my life is flowing right now. I wanted to start a weekly evening post that is a bit more free as far as subject matter goes. A little something to keep in touch but I’ve struggled to commit (also how my life is flowing right now) to which day would be best. I decided on Tuesday but Tuesday had other plans. So here we are.
We’ve begun to get some sweet tastes of Spring here in Ohio. The Spring days still fall in between sudden and immediate bursts of bitter winter weather only made more brutal by those fleeting warm breezes. I do love Spring…the promise of hope and possibilities that it brings is palpable. I feel it more this year perhaps more than any other I remember.

Don’t even get me started on the flowers and all the lush green that blankets the landscape. What a refreshing change after a long, drab, and cold winter. It’s absolutely intoxicating!

I have started seeds again this year. I am letting go of my veggie patch and will be planting herbs instead. I have always been into the medicinal and spiritual uses of herbs and plants and at the end of the season last year as I harvested the herbs I had planted for myself, it occurred to me in one of those profound and powerful moments that you can’t deny that I could grow and sell herbs for others…I could make teas and other products as well as the dried herbs themselves. I also hope to source to local restaurants with culinary herbs and find local shops where I might sell my products. I can also have a store as part of this blog which is something I’m developing…so keep an eye out for that. When I planted the herb seeds I literally felt like I was planting the seeds of my future. Corny, I know…but, not any less true. For advice on growing plants from seeds and tips on keeping the little cuties healthy and happy be sure to check out my posts to guide you along your way. https://youreverydayenrichment.com/intro-to-indoor-seed-starting-101/ ,https://youreverydayenrichment.com/guide-to-indoor-seed-starting-the-supply-list/,https://youreverydayenrichment.com/guide-to-starting-seeds-indoors-the-instructions/
I will also be welcoming you into my studio in the coming days, which is where I have been pretty much living since December. I signed up to be the featured artist at a local cafe…shout out to Generations Cafe! They feature the artwork of a different local artist every month and it is my turn in May! I was shocked to find out that they like to have around 32 medium sized paintings…that is about twice as many as I thought and way many more than what I had. Hence, the living in the studio. I am so excited but also terrified and a little overwhelmed. I haven’t really shared my work outside of my little circle so this is a huge step for me. I also haven’t been painting that long so I’m learning as I go and creating a lot of firsts but I am loving every minute of it. I will be sharing some of the work I have created thus far as well as offering tips and advice to help you get started painting yourself. I know many of you are saying you could never paint…which is something I used to say myself. I was wrong and so are you. Bob Ross believed you could do anything and so do I.
We will also be exploring mindfulness so that we may all stay grounded and connected to our own reality in a world that has seemingly gone mad. It has never been more important or more difficult to find and sustain our inner peace so that we may share it with a world that so desperately needs it.
Going into this season of rebirth and growth I hope that you find all that you need to grow and bloom. I hope that your Easter weekend is full of celebration and the love of family and friends. I will talk to you soon!
Always,
Amy
